The newly launched VMware Cloud Foundation 3.7 is expected to become the industry’s first jointly engineered, hybrid cloud infrastructure stack integrated with VMware’s flexible, full stack HCI architecture. This solution available on the Dell EMC VxRail platform integrates VMware’s multi-cloud infrastructure with Dell EMC.
This partnership is set to demonstrate the power of VMware’s cloud functionality to deliver full stack, end-to-end lifecycle management and better user experience to optimise networks for scalability and performance while lowering capital and operational costs.
The new Cloud Foundation release, which brings more flexibility, integration and deployment options, also supports automated deployment of VMware Horizon 7 virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
According to Vmware, Cloud Foundation provides a seamless way to deploy and operate a hybrid cloud and support the enterprise multi-cloud journey, matching cloud infrastructure development with business app requirements.
Enterprises continue to implement the multi-cloud model, opting for either native public cloud or hybrid cloud. Gartner estimates that 75% of organisations will deploy such an infrastructure in the next two years.
